Top Three Winter Fashion Trends

Hello ladies!

It’s that time of the year again when all eyes are on YOU. What are you wearing, where are you celebrating and with whom!? everyone wants to know and you and you want to show them just how well you got these few days of immense pressure under your control!

I am about to tell you the top three timeless winter styles based on colors. You could never go wrong with these. That makes them an easy festive wear choice as the colors compliment the season.

Here are my top THREE make up & styling tips for this festive season:

  1. WHERE IS MY BURGUNDY

Burgundy, my favorite hue this fall, and last, and the one before! Soon as the temperatures begin to fall, burgundy takes over the shop racks, wardrobes and streets. I adore the fact that it accentuates the feminine features in a woman because of the deeply engrained societal symbolisms associated with the color red. Maroon, purple-red or burgundy, whatever you choose to call it, it’s an extremely classy color and can be a perfect touch up to any winter outfit.

  1. ‘TIS THE OLIVE GREASON

The one color that has taken the streets by storm this year has been the shades of the serene green, especially the olive green. It started out with just the jacket trend especially the bombers, but swiftly moved forward to clothes, shoes, make up and accessories. Who knew, that the eye candy color of Alexander Wang’s Spring 2016 fashion show would eventually rule the world. The richness of the color makes it even more flawless, almost as if it speaks out loud, ‘Yeah I’m the color of serenity, but I can kick your ass if it comes down to it!’

  1. ROCKING NAVY BLUES

blieeeew

When you’ve got ‘classy’ and ‘badass-y’ in your bag, it’s only fair to include the ‘edgy’. Nothing could rock the fall look like this shade of blue. The color is so loud that it barely ever needs an ‘extra’ of accessories to attract attention. However, silver jewelry always goes well with it. As for makeup, it’s either go hard or go home- hot rouge or pale nudes when it comes to lipstick; the pinks don’t go so well with navy(correct me if I’m wrong). If you own an outfit of this shade, I reckon you wear it for New year’s eve with blue-black shadowy eyes and nude glitter lipstick; let your hair puff and glitter/accessorize up your outfit in silver if need be!

I hope this blog post helps you in your winter wardrobe picks. I have personally been raving over these three colors in all my wardrobe/makeup choices lately. My christmas outfit was an olive green dress from Mango (picture in the next blogpost) and burgundy lipstick by Mac. No matter what the clothes, the best part about this winter, like every other winter, has been spending the holiday time with my family. I will share a blog post right after this one with my family celebration pictures. Home is truly where the heart is! I hope you’ve had a Merry Christmas and wish you nothing but happiness in all fronts on the New Year’s eve!
