A relaxing getaway along the Oman coastline overlooking the Indian Ocean, Golden Tulip Resort is just the place to be. While the Hajar mountains surround this 4-star resort, the waves crashing upon the shore of the gulf give it just the hum of serenity that is missing Dubai’s city life.
A mere two hour drive from the Dubai International Airport, this 54 room and suites property is a recipe for the perfect vacation with a gym, hot tub, outdoor pool and bar. What sets it apart however, is the exceptional hotel staff.
For my mother’s birthday, we got two rooms, one for my parents and another one for me. After a very warm welcome, we lay in our beds relaxing from the tiring long drive as we enjoyed the panoramic views from the floor-to-ceiling glass-door balcony. A knock on the door and we all look at each other-
“Did you call for a room service?”
“Not me”, I Shrugged.
“Me neither”, my dad responded.
My mom got the door and there it was, a beautifully decorated birthday cake with ‘Happy Birthday Anita‘ written on it. I’ve never been to a hotel with staff this considerate.
A little snorkel in the beach, swim in the pool and workout in the gym, we head to the dinner arena. They had a set Italian menu for the night and so we got to relish pizzas and beer with a perfect three course dinner.

It is required that you make a three-day advance booking if you are traveling on road since this will give the Resort time to process the paperwork for the boarder to make your transition from UAE to Oman easy.*
