Louvre Abu Dhabi Celebrates its One-Year-Anniversary With a Dua Lipa Concert

DUA LIPA SET TO HIGHLIGHT LOUVRE’S ANNIVERSARY
Home to famous cultural and historical art exhibitions – Japanese Connections and Roads of Arabia, and a sister museum to Louvre Museum in France, Louvre Abu Dhabi is set to celebrate its year-long success with a line-up of events from November 8-11, including a Dua Lipa performance. On November 11, its anniversary day, Dua Lipa, the singer of the hit single “New Rules” will set the stage on fire at the museum.
But there will be a lot more to look forward to before the event. While the inspiring Japanese Connections is still running until November 24 and Magna Lab until January 5, 2019, visitors will have the opportunity to view a brand new installation – Constellations – which will elegantly paint the lobby with creative visual digi-animation by the renowned Emirati Designer Salem Al Mansoori between November 6 to 8. Then, on November 9 and 10, guests can expect a series of pop-up workshops and events. A haven for poetry-lovers, Spoken Art will feature poets and their spoken-word poetry from around the world, whereas a Pop-up Architecture Weekend will organise half-an-hour discovery tours and free activities for families.
And of course, with all these events, guests get to explore the beauty of the “urban wonder of the world” through its permanent galleries, which currently display 11 new acquisitions and 20 masterpieces – all sourced from its sister museum and surrounding GCC museums.
